Banjo | Fiddle | Mandolin | Guitar | Bluegrass

Bill “B.T.” Thibodeau…plays guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo — for starters! Born to professional musicians (father Sam was a founding member of Maine’s Kennebec Valley Boys), B.T. cut his teeth on bluegrass and has been a valued member of the state’s bluegrass “family” for over 30 years, playing with Bluegrass Supply Company, Union River Band, The Adrians, ana currently with Anna Mae Mitchell and Rising Tide.

He can also be heard as a guest artist with countless others. Bill owns and operates Sundown Studios in Clifton, Maine, and is co-creator and promoter of monthly Orono “Bluegrass Special” events and Maine’s annual Paul Bunyan Bluegrass Festival.

Bill has also been teaching strings for the past 5 years at Knapp’s Music, including guitar, mandolin, banjo, dobro, upright bass and fiddle. He can also be found at Bangor High School assisting the Bangor Fiddlers group. And in his spare time, Bill also coaches bluegrass bands to help them developing arrangements and stage show. Bill’s easygoing manner and wealth of experience make him a great teacher for learners of all ages.
