Andria Bacon (Cello, Violin, & Viola)

Andria Bacon offers private lessons in cello, violin, and viola lessons to students of all ages and abilities in the Bangor Maine area and beyond.

Andria Bacon has been teaching in public schools since 2007. She is currently teaching in RSU 64 in Corinth. She graduated from the University of Maine with a degree in Music Education with a cello concentration. Andria grew up in Brewer and has been playing the cello for over 30 years. 

Andria is certified K-12 Music, but specializes in string pedagogy. She works with string players of all ages and abilities.  She is the current director of Southern Maine String Camp, a camp for kids ages 10-18, which provides an orchestral and chamber music experience within the great Maine outdoors.

She is a performer and member of Opus Trio and has performed with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Maine.  She has adjudicated District II low string auditions for the past five years and conducted several String and District Festivals throughout the state.

Andria resides in Bangor with her husband, two children, and their many animals.
